This 3 hours course has been designed for First Aiders for Mental Health to refresh their skills and knowledge and to stay up to date with current events. The course covers key topics from the regulated First Aid for Mental Health qualifications, including the signs and symptoms of mental health conditions, how to develop a first aid action plan for mental health and ways in which people can improve their general wellbeing.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the course by the trainer. 

Certification

A certificate of attendance will be issued for each successful delegate.

Please note that delegates must be at least 16 years of age and be able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.

Delegates should have good English literacy and numeracy skills to understand the course and to complete the assessments.

Please also note that ID will need to be checked at the outset of the course for candidate verification process.

• The training room should be quiet and of appropriate size.
• Staff should be off work and not expected to be on duty.
• Staff attending should remain on the course for the entire duration of the training course.
