1 day Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work OFQUAL RQF 1 day training course (EFAW)



This Level 3 OFQUAL regulated and accredited RQF  Emergency First Aid at Work training course complies with the guidelines and criteria as defined by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) in respect of the 1981 (First Aid) Regulations. Delegates will learn the skills and knowledge to provide Emergency First Aid treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.  The topics covered in this course are in accordance with current guidelines published by the Resuscitation Council (UK).



This EFAW training  course is taught for 6 hours over 1 day and consists of theoretical and practical sessions.  This   6 hours EFAW training  course can also be delivered spread over a maximum of 4 weeks,  ensuring that each session is a minimum of two hours (subject to extra cost). The class ratio for this qualification is a maximum of 12 learners to 1 Trainer/Assessor.

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor.  The qualification is assessed through the completion of a written workbook, practical demonstration and oral questioning.





An OFQUAL  Regulated RQF  Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course certificate  lasting three years will be issued  subject to successful completion of the course by the delegate.

Important Information

Please note that delegates must be at least 18 years of age and physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.

Delegates should have good English literacy and numeracy skills to understand the course and to complete the assessments.


Please also note that ID will need to be checked at the outset of the course for candidate verification process.



  • The training room should be quiet and of appropriate size.
  • Staff should be off work and not expected to be on duty.
  • Staff attending should remain on the course for the entire duration of the training course.
