This Level 3 OFQUAL regulated RQF Paediatric First Aid training course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, nursery workers, nannies, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care.
This Paediatric First Aid training course is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and infants in a group or one to one setting. The topics covered in this 2 days Paediatric First Aid course are in accordance with current guidelines published by the Resuscitation Council (UK).
New legislation from the Department of Education requires all newly qualified level two and three child carers to have either an emergency paediatric first aid or full paediatric first aid certificate. This 2 days PFA course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by OFSTED for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This Paediatric First Aid training course is taught for 12 hours over 2 days and consists of theoretical and practical sessions. This 12 hours PFA course can also be spread over a maximum of 6 weeks, ensuring that each session is a minimum of 2 hours (subject to extra cost). The class ratio for this qualification is a maximum of 12 learners to 1 Trainer/Assessor.

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor. This qualification is assessed through the completion of a written workbook, practical demonstration and oral questioning.
An OFQUAL regulated RQF Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course certificate lasting three years will be issued subject to successful completion of the course by the delegate.
Please note that delegates must be at least 18 years of age and be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.
Delegates should have good English literacy and numeracy skills to understand the course and to complete the assessments.
