What type of information we have


Medisafe Training collects your name, date of birth, phone number and email address for the purposes of administrating, awarding or certificating the qualification or course you have chosen to undertake. If you like to have your qualification linked to your Personal Learning Record then special category data such as your gender and postcode will also be collected and processed for that purpose only. We also collect and/or receive names of Companies. City, County, Postcode, Course required, Number of course attendees. We may also collect financial and/or bank details for the purpose of making refunds or other payments whenever applicable.


Where we need to collect your personal information by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you or trying to have with you and you do not provide that information when we request it then we may not be able to proceed or complete the contract and therefore we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us or are trying to have with us but we will inform you at the time.


How we get the information and why we do we have it


We may collect your personal data and special category data about you when you provide this information by filling in the contact form on our website, within course paperwork/documentation during course delivery or via face to face conversation, telephone, email, text, documentation, previous certification or any other written correspondence with yourself, course organiser, work manager or the employer.


Medisafe Training will process your personal data, and special category data (for the purpose of reasonable adjustments), in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any regulatory requirements as specified by Regulatory Bodies.


What we do with the information


All personal data is processed and stored securely. We do not keep your personal data for longer than it is necessary for the reason it was first collected. Your personal data will be deleted as soon as the purpose for which it was collected has been completed. However, sometimes due to any legal or regulatory obligation may need to keep it longer than that but we will delete it soon as this obligation has been fulfilled.


We will only process your data where we have a legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to do so. Most commonly, we will use your personal data where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you, where it is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of a third party and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests and/or where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

Such personal data and special category data will not be used by Medisafe Training for any purpose other than the delivery, assessment, administration and quality assurance of the qualification or course undertaken and for maintaining appropriate records in line with Regulatory Body requirements.


In the case of a regulated qualification where a certificate is issued by an awarding body, we will be required to transfer your personal data to the awarding body for them to issue your certificate. We are sometimes also required to send information when requested by Regulatory Bodies for the purpose of auditing of the course paperwork.


In certain limited circumstances we may be legally required to share or transfer your personal data such as during legal proceedings, complying with a court order, regulatory requirement, law enforcement agency requirement or government department with appropriate legal authority to compel us to do so.


How we deal with security and retention of your information


Data security is very important to us and we take appropriate security measures to safeguard and secure your data which is collected via our website and services.


The transmission of data and information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission by you to us is at your own risk. Generally Medisafe Training will retain your personal and special category data indefinitely to provide confirmation of your achievement at any point in the future, should it be required.

Under the GDPR you have certain rights in respect of your personal and special category data. Not all GDPR rights are applicable due to the limited way in which Medisafe Training holds and processes your data. Under data protection law, you have rights including:

We are required to process your personal data and special category data, to administrate the certificate or award of your course or qualification. We are also required to maintain the records of your training. Should you wish for your data to be deleted Medisafe Training will do so upon reasonable request providing it is no longer required to maintain a record of your training. However we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal or regulatory reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.


Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.


Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.


Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.


Withdrawal of consent – Where our processing is based on your consent you have the right to withdraw this at any time however if you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.
